How to choose a dedicated server in Sweden

Worth thinking about before you order:

  • VPS or dedicated? Need guaranteed performance for a heavy database, many containers or sustained high load — choose dedicated. If an isolated-but-shared machine is enough, a VPS is cheaper.
  • Clock speed vs cores. More cores for parallel workloads (virtualization, build servers), higher clock for single-threaded jobs (some databases, games).
  • Remote management. Make sure iDRAC/IPMI is included — otherwise you depend on support for every reinstall. We include it.
  • Where it physically sits. A server in Stockholm gives low latency to Nordic users and keeps data in Sweden (GDPR). Many “Swedish” offers actually sit in Germany.
  • Network and redundancy. Own AS, dual uplinks and peering mean better routing and resilience than a single transit.

How is it different from a VPS?
A dedicated server is a whole physical machine just for you — all CPU, RAM and disks are yours. No noisy neighbours and maximum, guaranteed performance. A VPS shares the hardware (but with dedicated resources via KVM).

Yes, every dedicated server has iDRAC/IPMI remote management over VPN — reinstall, reboot and reach the console yourself anytime.
Where are the servers located?
In our own Stockholm datacenter, on our own network (AS30893) with 2×100 Gbps. Your data stays in Sweden — GDPR-safe.
